Join Dallis Bros. Coffee and Root Hill Cafe Tuesday, July 19 from 6-8pm in celebrating the coffees from Honduras esteemed enough to reach the nation's 2011 Cup of Excellence auction table. Dallis Bros. Director of Coffee Byron Holcomb will spin tales about his participation in the Cup of Excellence competition in Honduras, as well as guiding us through a cupping of his favorite coffees from the winning finalists. There will be photos, farm stories, slurping, snacks and time for plenty of Q&A.

Four years ago Byron Holcolmb's tolerance for failure and risk made buying a coffee farm in the Dominican Republic seem like a good idea. When he's not sharpening machetes, he's working as the Coffee Director for Dallis Bros. Coffee in New York City, which means that he is responsible for green buying and quality control. He is a coffee person by trade and a clown at heart.
